Owners Jacki and Paul Yorke have developed Llandeilo Pottery and art studio over the past two years.

Jacki has always been passionate about painting and creating art and gets most of her inspiration from the nature that surrounds her.

Jacki has been teaching art for Carmarthenshire Council at their adult learning centers for about 10 years. These courses vary from absolute beginners art through to, oil painting, and Wildlife and Botanical illustration.

We now have a larger studio and due to many requests we have decided to offer pottery and painting clubs. These clubs are suitable for people with any ability from absolute beginner through to experienced artists. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment with members helping each other and with Jacki at hand when you get stuck and to give demonstrations and tuitions to those who wish to benefit from her years of experience.

Pottery has turned out to be much more popular than we expected. It is a great way to express yourself but is much more tactile and relaxing than painting and we have many unusual glazes so making something original and interesting is usually possible within a few sessions.

Jacki is a working professional artist and teacher so spaces are limited in each class. When a class is full we do operate a waiting list so don’t hesitate to contact us to book in advance.

Often we have spaces at short notice or on the day so feel free to phone and check if you find yourself at a loose end and fancy popping in.
